While at Barnes and Noble the other day, I bought The Vampire Diaries by L.J. Smith. I bought the first two that came in one book, and the last two that came in another.

Well, I finished the first story. And it was fantastic.

Although the storyline is a bit cliche, I still love it. It's well written, and the plotline keeps you going. I can't wait to read the next one!

Rating?: Um... let's go with eight out of ten, ten being the highest.
Twilight or The Vampire Diaries?: Hmm. I'd have to say Twilight still, but it was close.

Mythopoeic Award Challenge

I was surfing the web and found Foxy Writer -- a blog about fantasy literature and writing run by a lady named Lenneth. She's running the Mythopoeic Award Challenge in celebration of her new domain name!

The challenge is to read seven books from the list of Mythopoeic Award Winners, or from the list of fantasy nominees and scholarship. The contest starts January 1st and ends December 28th. Hmm... seven books with a year span to read it. I think I can accomplish it! =]

Warriors

Have you read Erin Hunter's series, Warriors? It's a cat-based series... perhaps I'll blog more about it later.
