Yes! I can cross one book off of my challenges list!

Dragon's Blood was fun for me to read, but that might be because I'm a huge sci-fi/fantasy geek. :)

I really did like the plot line, and the characters are easy to relate to and love. I especially loved the little dragon hatchling that Jakkin took; it was fun to watch her grow up. It wasn't an extraordinary book, but it was an easy and enjoyable read.

Overall Rating & Final Comments: 10/10. It's an easy and enjoyable read, as I said before, and I was able to get into it. Besides, I'm a huge fantasy junkie - I probably would have loved it even if it was 9 of 10 material.
Dragon's Blood or Joust?: Mercede Lackey's The Dragon Jousters series reminded me a lot of Dragon's Blood: a boy who wanted to raise and train a dragon at his own. I love both books equally, so it all depends on how big of a novel you want to read - Joust is much thicker than Dragon's Blood.

Happy reading!
