I have three hobbies - reading, writing about reading, and reading about people reading.
Inkheart was reading about people reading. :)
I loved Inkheart. The villains were villainous, the description was wonderful, and - let's face it - who wouldn't want to read a book about books!?
Inkheart or Artemis Fowl?: Hmm, that's a tough one. If you want a faerie you can talk to, take Artemis Fowl, but if you want the truly evil villains, go for Inkheart.
Rating: 10 of 10.
Happy reading!

I love, love, love this book and Inkspell! Can't wait for Inkdeath to come out!... and the movie!!!! oh yeah! oh yeah!.. glad you enjoyed the book, I don't think I've heard of anyone who read it that didn't... and that says alot!
ReplyDeleteI have to say I am the person that didn't love the book. The genre is not really me. I am a teacher, though, and tried it as a read aloud for a class of 4th graders a few years ago and we ended up abandoning it. I know ~ horrors!
ReplyDeleteThat said, even though I am an adult, ~ Nicole, I love your blog. I just recently discovered it and will keep checking back.
I borrowed this from the library last year and ended up returning it unfinished. I don't know if it was because I was a reading slump at the time, or genuinely didn't like it. I'll probably give it another go some day, but not in the immediate future.
ReplyDeleteI love Inkheart!! It's such a great story and I can't wait to see the movie! The second book, Inkspell, is also really good. I'm glad you loved Inkheart!
ReplyDeleteI loved Inkheart, it is truly one of my favorite books. Have you read any other books by Cornelia Funke??
ReplyDeleteNice review. I want to read this book before the movie comes out. Lucky for me the movie got puched back a year, so know I have plenty of time to read it!
ReplyDeleteHaven't read this one but I like her other books. I'll have to read this one before the movie comes out.
ReplyDeleteThis is more of a question but i was woundering do you think you'll ever actully write "InkHeart" like not the one you already wrote but the one you talked about in your book?
