Author: Lauren Myracle
Series: Internet Girls (#1)
Publisher: Harry N. Abrams
How Received: library
An epistolary novel for the 21st century, this sharp, funny, and true-to-life breakout hit about friendship is told entirely in instant messages. And Internet-savvy teens have fallen in love with flirty Angela (SnowAngel), moody Maddie (mad maddie), and good girl Zoe (zoegirl) and their frank perceptions about a tumultuous tenth-grade semester.
The story itself was interesting. The plot line seemed a bit over-used - I've seen a few like that already - but the way it was delivered was unique and creative. However if you, like me, begin to get headache after too much chat speak... don't touch this.
Overall Rating: 6/10
ttyl or Sloppy Firsts?: I prefer Sloppy Firsts, but ttyl is an easier read, along with being a shorter book.
Happy reading!
