As Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob–knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella has one more decision to make: life or death. But which is which?

By far my favorite of the three Twilight novels, Eclipse contains the most humor and the most interesting fight scenes. Bella is still as annoying as always, but Edward shapes up, and Jacob is a lot more interesting - and a little more like the teenager he is.

All in all, this one is the best, because, once you get past Bella, it's become a series with a fantasmagoric plot line, characters made of awesome-sauce, and two main men who could be addicting.

Overall Rating: 9/10
Twilight or Vampire Diaries?: They're similar in what they contain - werewolves, love triangles, cute leading men - but, overall, they're completely different stories with completely different plot lines. I prefer the Twilight plot line.
