The closest Dominique ever got to a guy before meeting Wes - track star, great blue eyes, amazing legs - was the Operation board game. Seeing as she had dreams of being a doctor, that wasn't a surprise.
But then Wes came along, and everything changed. The more time they spent together, the more physical they got, and everything got out of hand so fast... but it was love.
And then came college.
It's honest, it's witty, and it's slightly embarrassing for you to read through Dominique's point of view at times - some things should be for one person and one person alone to experience - but it's an amazing book nonetheless. It gets brutally honest on the "teenage experience", to put it lightly, but it's a fun read and really opens your eyes to the fact that just because it seems like love, doesn't mean it actually is.
Overall Rating: 8/10
A.O.A.B. or Are You There, God? It's Me, Margaret.?: I remember ARTGIMM as being an enjoyable read, but I think it all depends on your age and your situation.
Happy reading!
