I shall try to warn you all sufficiently: if you do not like suspense and general angst and unhappiness, do not read past a certain scene involving a certain couple. You know what scene I'll be talking about when you read it.
Richelle Mead writes more interesting characters, more intriguing plotlines, and more vivid description than Stephenie Meyer or any other vampire novelist whose books I've read. Sorry, Stephenie. I couldn't put Shadow Kiss down, and when something angst making happened, I was ready to kill Megan, who lent it to me. She didn't properly warn me. I love Dimitri, and... GAR.
This is probably one of the best series I've ever read, and I really need to pick it up to add to my bookshelves.
I'm not just saying that, either - I resolved to be more ruthless in my book reviews this year. Hard to prove that when you start with an amazing book!
Overall Rating: 10/10 with awesome little stars dancing around it because of my love of Dimitri.
Vampire Academy or Twilight?: Hot guy versus hot guy, amazing main female character versus week whiny female character, amazing plotline versus really good plotline... Sorry, Twilight, but Vampire Academy should really own your plot line.

ReplyDeleteI've read the series and have gone back to read my favorite parts i am on my knees begging for dimitri to come back in the fourth book. Dimitri and cristian are my two fave charters. My heart was crushed at the end of shawdow kiss

I absolutly can't stand lissa at the end of shawdow kiss she isn;t looking at the big picture. How would she feel if cristian turned stigoi hmmm? She was really being selfish. Adrian was mis treated as well he's an awesome chareter and deserves a chance. (Man I've gotten into this) I LOVE THE BOOK)

I love the series. It is my kind of books romance with danger. I hope dimitri comes back. It makes me sad that he got taken by strogoi. At the end of shadow kiss lissa is really unfair. Lissa should of thought about the situation before yelling at rose.
