"Why, then?" I demand.
"It is because, Miss Faber," says Mr. Peel, smiling one of his very rare smiles. "It is because you can swim."
Aye, things never go as planned for poor Jacky Faber. Just when her and Jaimy are to be married, the British Naval Intelligence snatch her little ol' self up again for another mission. This time, she is to retrieve gold from a long sunken ship. Many, many thousands of pounds of gold.
But nothing's as simple as it sounds. What with Flashby trying to wreck things for her, pirates wantin' to murder her, and her own sinful ways playing havoc with Jaimy's heart, Jacky might just be in over her head...
'cept this clever pirate always manages to wiggle out of things.
I have mentioned my undying love for this series? I hadn't noticed that a new one had come out until last week, though. Shame on me.
Rapture of the Deep did not fail to please my high expectations for the Bloody Jack series. Wonderfully written as always, I much enjoyed reading about Jacky's adventures.
The series is quite character driven - if Jacky was anything less what who she is, the plot lines and all the crazy stunts just wouldn't work. However, Jacky being Jacky, it works wonderfully and makes for a fantastically fun tale.
Overall Rating & Final Comments: Love this series. Pick this one up once you've read the rest - and yes, you need to read the rest! 10/10

Sounds like you found an unexpected gem for your weekly read....bonus points since it's from a series you love! (Don't you love and hate it when that happens? Love it since the saga continues, hate it since you could have been reading it already!)
