I caught the new Sherlock Holmes movie on Christmas.
I knew that RDJ was playing a different Holmes - one a bit rougher around the edges, a fighter, a romantic. I wasn't sure how it would work. I had friends who refused to see it because they're so attached to the original Holmes.
I'm not so attached.
And I ADORED it.
For all you Holmes fans (and even those of you who just like a good mystery!) I'd go see it. It has it's flaws, as does every movie, but it's overall a fantastic and fun film. (And hey. RDJ and Jude Law. Ow-ow!)
I really liked this film, too. It was very entertaining.
ReplyDeleteI think I've read one of the Sherlock Holmes stories a long time ago but I've been meaning to get around to reading the complete collection. I think I'll probably watch the movie first though.
ReplyDeleteI'm officially now a follower of your blog!

I'm pretty excited to see this film!
ReplyDeleteSherlock Holmes is such a cool character.
I really did love this movie (and I thought RDJ did an amazing job)! It was definitely a smart, fun movie :)
ReplyDeleteI want to watch this soooo bad!
ReplyDeleteSherlock Holmes help... In Hound of the Baskervilles, what are three ways in which forensic science was applied? Alternatively, how could forensics -have- been applied and how would it have changed the story?
ReplyDeleteWhen I first herd about it and the concept behind it, I sounded horrible. But the more I've seen, the more I'm looking forward to it. It's definitely going to be a new take on Holmes.
ReplyDeleteSherlock Holmes was exactly what I expected, a very entertaining ride. nothing more, nothing less.
