I've never read one of Shinn's novels before - I picked it up because each of the worlds sounded interesting. They were.

Quatrain is a nice little peek into each of Shinn's worlds if you're not certain you want to read them. Each of the characters is remarkably fleshed out in a small bit of time, and the stories get better as they move from world to world.

Not a long review - but then again, with short stories, how much can you rant about them? You get a taste, and then it's done.

Final Comments: Pick it up both if you like short stories or want a peek into the fantastic worlds Shinn has created.
