So yesterday I pulled a season one marathon of Castle - I had checked it out of the library. I mean, it's about a writer shadowing a detective. How could they go wrong?
... they didn't go wrong. At all.
It's funny; it's interesting; the characters are well thought out; the casting is amazing.
If you have a chance, watch it. I LOVE it - I really need to find a way to watch the second season.

(Oh, and James Patterson makes an appearance in the first episode. Win? I think so.)
I never caught the first season (and the libraries here don't like English anything) but plan on buying the first season when it goes on sale. My husband and I adore this show. My dad currently DVRs them for us since we're the only ones in the world without any form of tv recording device. ;)
ReplyDeleteThe entire cast of this show is gold. The relationship between Castle and his daughter and mother - awesome. The Captain of the squad? Awesome. So much awesome. And Nathan Fillion is just ultra awesome.

ReplyDeleteMy husband and I watch this regularly. It's one of our favorite shows. Did you know that a novel was written based on this show? It's Heat Wave by "Richard Castle" and features the character Nikki Heat (based on Kate Beckett). Not the best book of the year, but very fun to read if you follow the show. I would recommend watching the first 1-2 seasons before reading or it won't be as much fun.
