Friday Fronts - The Curseworkers series

The Story Siren blogged about this a little over a month ago, and I've been trying to figure out my thoughts on these shiny new covers.

Visually, I think they're stunning. They're simple in concept and beautiful in execution; my problem with them is that I have no idea how they tie into the books. In THAT respect, the other (also very pretty) covers fit much better.

I still like these. Maybe an attempt to appeal to an adult audience? Or to get boys to pick them up? (Why wouldn't they have before? The first one DID have a badass guy on the cover. Even if he did have a cat.) I'm not sure.

I LIKE them. I just don't know how they fit.

  1. I haven't read the books yet, though I do have a copy of White Cat. These are pretty but my copy of the book has a cat on it. Cats win.

  2. I really like these covers. The colors are eye-catching and I've never really seen art like that before.

  3. Your thoughts = our thoughts.

We wouldn't kick these covers off our shelves though. ;)
