Recommendations: Dragons

I asked if anybody wanted any recommendation posts over at my Facebook page. Constance responded with a request for dragon books, and as a dragon-lover, who was I to say no!

Pern [x] | Dragon Rider [x] | Firelight [x] | Eragon [x] | Dragon's Blood [x] | Dragon Jousters [x]

If you have more dragon books you'd like to recommend, add them in the comments. (I do love me some dragon books!) If you have a type of book you'd like recommended, comment with what you want to see!

  6. Patricia C. Wrede's dragon series, starting with Dealing with Dragons. Vintage YA with humor and fun!

    Great collection!

  8. I have really been wanting to read the Pern Series but when I ask which comes first I always get a variety of answers. Which would you recommend to be read first?

    1. Hi Ash! It's a good question; there are SO many Pern books. I'd start with the one she wrote first - Dragonflight, or the first three bound in the DragonRiders of Pern book. If you get past those three, I have a McCaffrey recommendation post!

  9. I loved the Pit Dragon Trilogy by Jane Yolen SO HARD (The fourth book published much later was a bit 'meh' for me, not sure why the series needed a fourth...) and I second the motion for the Enchanted Forest Chronicles by Patricia C. Wrede! I enjoyed Eragon a lot but lost interest after the sequel. Firelight was ok but basically exactly like Twilight with anthropomorphic dragons.
