Recommendation: Pairing books and movies

I like movies and television. I like books.

Time to merge them!

What shows and television would you pair?

  1. Love this! I always adore watching a movie right after I read a book. It adds so much to the experience for me. Just did Catch-22 this weekend :)

    Have a great week!

  2. Dies the Fire and Revolution

  3. I don't often watch a movie after reading a book. I did like both Miyazaki's Howl's Moving Castle based off the book of the same name by Diana Wynne Jones, which I also loved. I also loved BBC's Pride and Prejudice.

  4. I haven't read it yet, but I'm going to pick up Revolution 19 in January when it comes out, based on my love for the show Falling Skies. Both are about alien invasions and revolutions.

  5. How awesome is this blog post?? I love it! I can't think of what I would pair off the top of my head, though!! Maybe Dark Inside by Jeyn Roberts and The Walking Dead? Ooh or Rot & Ruin and The Walking Dead. I know there's more but I can't think right now! This should be something that you do as a weekly feature! We love movies and TV (as well as books and writing) too over on our blog and plan to unite them every Monday :D

  6. I'll have to read Bloody Jack and The Lost Years of Merlin because I love PotC and Merlin. I just started watching it, but I'm almost done with the first season and it's fantastic so far.

  7. I love this post. You are definitely right about Firefly being perfect for Across the Universe because Whedon is a huge influence on Revis.

  8. Fun post.

I would pair any great zombie books (My Life as a White Trash Zombie, Married with Zombies or Plague Town, all adult books, and Dearly, Departed) with The Walking Dead and Pride and Prejudice with Lost in Austen.
