Because we all have something we're waiting for.

Kissed
Author: Cameron Dokey
Series: ---
Release Date: 5 February 2013

Belle lacks her sisters’ awe-inspiring beauty, so she withdraws from society to focus on her art in Belle. But when her father is held captive by a terrifying Beast, Belle is the only one with the courage and creativity to save him...though she must first believe in herself.

In Sunlight and Shadow, Princess Mina is kidnapped. Desperate to be reunited with her daughter, the Queen of the Night promises Mina’s hand in marriage to the prince who can rescue her. Yet as Mina and her prince encounter trials of love and fate, Mina must summon the strength to find her own happiness.

In Winter’s Child, Grace’s best friend is lured from home by a dazzling Snow Queen. Grace sets out on a dangerous, mystical journey to find him, and along the way, she discovers the meaning of true love.

It's the day after Christmas and I'm already drooling after more books. But really, who wouldn't want this? I LOVE fairy tale retelling and to have three put into a giant book... oh, me gusta.

Though I could have used a less stereotypical cover. Oh well.

What do you guys think?

  2. Dokey did the best retellings for the Once Upon a Time is Timeless S&S line. Her first chapters are always cliche "this is me, blah blah" things, but after, she provides a great story. I really enjoyed Belle, although I wished that it would have had another good hundred-or-so pages to it to really flesh out the amazing idea. If you like this bind-up, check out her other one for sure. A great deal for a great author. :)

  3. Sunlight and Shadow is my favorite of the three. Not only is it a superb retelling, but it gets bonus points for being odd source material-- it's on the only retelling of Magic Flute that I know of!

I wish this series was still ongoing-- I am such a huge fan. Maybe if the bind-ups get a good audience, we'll get some new titles?
