The End Games
Author: T. Michael Martin
Release Date: 7 May 2013
It happened on Halloween.
The world ended.
And a dangerous Game brought it back to life.
Seventeen-year-old Michael and his five-year-old brother, Patrick, have been battling monsters in The Game for weeks.
In the rural mountains of West Virginia, armed with only their rifle and their love for each other, the brothers follow Instructions from the mysterious Game Master. They spend their days searching for survivors, their nights fighting endless hordes of “Bellows”—creatures that roam the dark, roaring for flesh. And at this Game, Michael and Patrick are very good.
But The Game is changing.
The Bellows are evolving.
The Game Master is leading Michael and Patrick to other survivors—survivors who don’t play by the rules.
And the brothers will never be the same.
For those who don't know, I'm a HUGE Slenderman fan. I follow all the big guys - Marble Hornets, Trible Twelve, Everyman Hybrid, and Dark Harvest (though DH is my least favorite). I love the horror and the suspense and even though I want to punch the characters in the face, it's totally worth it.
Well, not Noah. I've never wanted to punch Noah. But I digress.
The End Games reminds me a LOT of Slenderman. It's the same mysterious monster, the same forest setting, the focus on young brothers; hell, even the cover has a very Slender feel to it.
And I want this book like mad because of it.
What do you guys think?
