The twist was brilliant. I was feeling rather bad for James, and you&amp;#39;re right, I couldn&amp;#39;t help thinking how similar he was to Puck. However, Puck is still the mastermind of trickery. He is in a world all his own. Luke and Ash have the whole tortured soul thing going for them but I sympathise more with Luke. Kagawa does focus more on the love triangle, whereas it was not so evident in Lament. There was definitely a good balance between action in it. I was surprised that there is a sequel, but I think it works better as a stand alone book. So in that respect I think if you want good continuity, The Iron Fey series is better because you can revisit your favourite character across four novels.
