I LOVE Maria V. Snyder. Have you read her Study and Glass series?

I totally get what you mean about the whole "City of Ember" "Wall-E" thing, but maybe because I don't go for stuff like that, I didn't have such a hard time with "Inside Out". I just freaking love Maria V. Snyder's work.
